Job Summary

The role involves examining and analyzing corporate environments and business operations to identify and report any misconduct, fraudulent activity, or retail theft by employees, customers, or others.

Responsibilities

  1. Integrity and Diligence: Always follow the business code, act with integrity, and exercise due diligence.
  2. Fraud Prevention: Flag suspicious transactions and report any suspicious employee behavior to reduce payment fraud.
  3. Risk Assessment: Distinguish between high-risk and legitimate transactions to minimize unnecessary checks and workload.
  4. Fraud Detection: Identify employees involved in fraudulent activities to prevent significant retail losses.
  5. Product Integrity: Ensure product integrity throughout all transactions.
  6. Communication: Multitask and communicate effectively within the team and with North American leadership or law enforcement.
  7. Pattern Analysis: Derive patterns and assumptions, and communicate recommendations and findings to senior leaders in weekly or biweekly meetings.
  8. Quick Response: Respond promptly and write immaculate emails.
  9. Report Writing: Write detailed investigation reports with clear findings addressed to leadership.
  10. Technical Reporting: Understand technical issues with cameras and report them to leaders.
  11. Teamwork and Independence: Work both independently and as a team player on all aspects of the investigation, ensuring cases are completed in a timely manner.

Key People and Teams Worked With

  1. Store and Retail Staff: Collaborate with retail staff to gather information and conduct investigations.
  2. North American Leadership: Report findings and recommendations to VP and corporate investigators.
  3. Retail Security Team: Work with the security team and other business support teams.
  4. Internal Support Teams: Coordinate with IT, Helpdesk, and other internal teams.
  5. Law Enforcement Agencies: Interact with police, fire rescue, and other emergency services as needed.

Skills

  1. Forensic Investigation Experience: Background in forensic investigation, loss prevention, retail theft prevention, or asset protection.
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and advanced Excel formulas.
  3. Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability to identify genuine cases.

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
