Responsibilities
- Translate complex customer requirements into solution architectures and advisory services.
- Lead high-velocity migration and modernization projects on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design, build, and operationalize data storage and processing infrastructure using cloud-native products.
- Develop and implement data migration strategies for various databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Alloy DB.
- Ensure data quality and governance procedures to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
- Guide customers on data ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization on GCP.
- Work on data migrations and modernization projects, designing large-scale data processing systems and developing scalable data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot potential platform or product challenges.
- Understand data governance and security controls.
- Travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver educational workshops.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Product Engineering teams to enhance Google Cloud products.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
- Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience in technical troubleshooting and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in architecting and developing production-grade Big Data solutions in virtualized environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Experience with data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting/analytic tools in public cloud environments.
- Proficiency in data processing algorithms, Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or Machine Learning.
- Experience in database migration methodologies and leveraging data processing frameworks.
- Experience building multi-tier, high-availability applications with modern technologies such as NoSQL, MongoDB, and SparkML.
