Job Description

Wealth Data Integration team manages APIs and micro-services for communication across Barclays Wealth applications and external systems.

Services support various areas within Barclays like mobile and online banking, trade booking, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

1. Key member of JAVA Integration/API scrum teams.
2. Translate business requirements into technical and functional designs for Java and API projects with a React-based front end.
3. Develop and maintain application code with automated test suites.
4. Perform unit and integration testing and provide support during testing cycles.
5. Contribute to JAVA and API forums and Best Practices.
6. Mentor junior colleagues.
7. Participate in Agile development lifecycle.
8. Build relationships with application support teams for project delivery.

Requirements:

1. Proficient in Java 11+, React 17+, Linux, Databases, REST, MQ, Kafka, Junit, Springboot 2.x.
2. Strong Core Java Concepts implementation.
3. UI skills.
4. Experience in enterprise-level software solutions using Source Control, Build Tools (e.g., Maven), TDD, BDD.
5. Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD Jenkins Pipeline.
6. Self-driven with problem-solving abilities.
7. Good communication skills.

Additional Skills:

1. Sonar Cube, Veracode Standards.
2. Cloud Development, especially AWS.
3. Knowledge of Cybersecurity and cryptography.
4. Experience with deployment tools like Chef.
5. SQL Server/Oracle/NoSQL Database experience.
