Job Description

What You’ll Do

1. Handle registrations and filings for requested licenses at various government levels.
2. Focus on state-level sales tax registrations, primarily online.
3. Learn quickly to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
4. Maintain accuracy, analytical skills, and strong communication.

Job Duties

1. Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns accurately and timely.
2. Understand state rules and regulations.
3. Maintain high standards for accuracy to avoid penalties.
4. Meet SLA’s and ensure accurate and timely registration.
5. Communicate ongoing status and challenges to manager.
6. Stay updated on updates & trends and support overall production goals.
7. Find opportunities for process improvement.
8. Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual filings.
9. Serve as a front-line contact for external customers.
10. Assist internal groups with technical issues.
11. Maintain accurate records in systems.
12. Accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
13. Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
14. Adhere to timelines of various government authorities.
15. Flexible to extend working hours as required.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

1. Strong attention to detail.
2. Proficiency with MS Office.
3. MBA in Finance preferred.
4. Knowledge of Sales Tax (VAT & Use Tax) preferred.
5. Experience with tracking tools like Salesforce & Atlassian Jira.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills.
