Job Description

  1. Provide technical support to customers and partners globally in a secure environment.
  2. Collaborate with various departments like Development, QA, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Sales, and Alliances to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  3. Handle customer interactions via phone, email, and WebEx.
  4. Focus on resolving issues related to Qualys’ product modules over the SaaS platform.
  5. Seek passionate and self-motivated individuals capable of solving complex problems.
  6. Act as the main point of contact for technical issues, working closely with Development and QA teams for resolutions.

Qualifications

  1. Solid networking, IT security, and Windows troubleshooting skills required.
  2. Previous experience in a technical support role preferred.
  3. Strong foundation in Windows, Linux, or Unix in an enterprise environment.
  4. Passion for security; candidates with CISSP/CEH or equivalent certifications preferred.
  5. Deep understanding of network services and protocols/configuration.
  6. Familiarity with Vulnerability Management and Web Application Security/Firewall application support preferred.
  7. Proficiency in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN infrastructures, and common OS services.
  8. Knowledge of firewall, Intrusion Detection System technologies, and Network Vulnerability Scanners.
  9. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with packet capture review and diagnosis.
  2. Previous API support and Regex knowledge preferred.
  3. Understanding of scripting languages like Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.
  4. Knowledge of major web server software and diverse platforms and applications.
  5. Oracle and Microsoft SQL knowledge desirable.
  6. CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, and CEH certifications highly desirable.
  7. Experience with Customer Support and Development Tools (Salesforce, Jira, etc.).
  8. Willingness to work in rotational work hours.
