Responsibilities
As a Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant, your role revolves around understanding client needs, efficiently executing tasks, documenting processes, participating in meetings, and continuously learning to enhance your skills.
Analyze Requirements:
Your primary responsibility involves understanding the functional aspects of client requirements.
This includes:
- Identifying and comprehending client needs.
- Communicating any concerns or clarifications regarding work output to your team leader promptly.
- Adhering strictly to schedules and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with team members and supervisors.
- Following organizational policies and procedures diligently.
- Actively participating in project and organizational initiatives led by the Delivery leadership.
- Ensuring tasks are appropriately classified and prioritized.
- Complying with defined processes during task execution.
- Providing periodic updates on task progress as required.
Documentation:
You’ll be assisting in creating documentation related to client-specific applications, project processes, and workflows.
This includes:
- Generating comprehensive project documents.
- Creating application-specific reports, such as SLA and KPI reports, to track performance metrics like the number of transactions processed per day and successful transactions.
- Meetings and Reporting:
- Participation in calls and status reporting is crucial.
- Attending daily stand-up calls and weekly meetings.
- Contributing to the creation of weekly and monthly reports for clients.
Learning and Training:
Continuous learning and training are essential for your growth in this role.
This includes:
- Understanding the quality processes and practices followed in the project.
- Reviewing project-specific documents and attending training sessions to familiarize yourself with client application suites, technology stacks, and specific processes and tools like Quality Center and JIRA.
- Participating in knowledge transition sessions to gain proficiency in project-level knowledge.
- Completing domain-specific, technical, and project-related training and certifications.

To excel in this role, you must possess expertise in the following areas:
- UiPath
- Automation Anywhere
- Node.js
